Accommodation Listings - This is a very simple form of advertising consisting of coloured boxes with details accommodation in the various Area Guides on the Rockfax site. Using our simple form, you can submit your advert direct to us for display in any of the various Rockfax Areas. Each advert will appear on the specific Area page, plus the Country page. All the accommodation sections can be accessed directly from the Rockfax Home page.

Side Bar Buttons - Each area page listing comes with a free sidebar listing (example right) in the form of a square button. This is rotated across various pages on the Rockfax site.
Procedure - Using this form, submit the details for your advert to Rockfax. You can get a preview of the advert before you send it to us. We can also help with layout and photos if necessary. Once your advert has been approaved, we wil make it live on the site.
All adverts must be for a minimum period of 6 months. First time advertisers must make payment in advance.
* Payments from people resident in the UK are subject to 17.5% VAT. Payments from people who live in Spain but have a UK bank account are not subject to VAT.

The 2009 Rockfax Media Kit
Advertising within ROCKFAX books and MiniGUIDEs represents superb targeted advertising with a long life span.
- There are now over 100,000 ROCKFAX guidebooks in circulation.
- There are over 95,000 ROCKFAX MiniGUIDEs in circulation.
- The majority of these publications are still being used.
- An advert in a magazine lasts for a month and then gets thrown away.
- An advert in a ROCKFAX guidebook lasts for years and is continually looked at every time the owner goes climbing!
Printed Guidebook Advertising
In 2008 we published four books Northern England, Lofoten, (winner of the Mountain Exposition Award at the Banff Mountain Book Festival), El Chorro and Winter Climbing +.
We are aiming to publish five books in 2009.
- Western Grit - A new edition of this Rockfax best-seller from 2003 with a full set of new crag photos and some extra crags added. Due in March or April 2009.
- Pembroke - A full-colour selected route book to this brilliant area. It is being put together by Mike Robertson and Alan James using some stunning new crag photographs. Due to be published in the summer.
- North Wales Mountain Classics - New Rockfax author Jack Geldard is working on a Pokketz guide to the great routes of North Wales. A handy A6 size and with big full page photo-topos. Published in the summer.
- France Parts 1 and 2 - The next big Rockfax project is just beginning to take shape. Adrian Berry has been hard at work on a guide to the Drôme-Provence area of France. Chris Craggs is going to cover the crags in the Maritime Alps-Nice area. We also have at least three more France books planned which should come out in 2010 and 2011.

MiniGUIDE Advertising - We currently have over 50 downloadable PDF MiniGUIDEs to locations all over the world. Within these there are plenty of possible positions for advertising. If there is a MiniGUIDE which you feel may be appropriate to you then please email for more information.
Link Exchange
We don't have a links page on the ROCKFAX site since all our links are embedded in the appropriate sections of the site. We will consider link exchanges with other sites but this will be done at our discretion. For small, low-traffic, non-commercial sites, we will only exchange links where the information is relevant to ROCKFAX information and the site has demonstrated some longevity. For larger sites, and commercial sites, we are open to discussion although any link swaps will only be done on a mutually beneficial basis. Email if you wish to discuss link exchange.
